Many screen printers here in the Philippines use water-based ink for screen printing. And relatively few screen printers use plastisol ink. We use plastisol ink as well as water-based ink like rubberized ink. If you want glossy, thick and opaque prints, plastisol is the answer. Even if the cost of plastisol printing is higher than water-based we prefer plastisol because of no hassle in production like when you print with waterbased ink.... Personally, I print plastisol. But I wear waterbased...
Hello! I have been in t-shirt printing for about 7 years. But I am not an expert t-shirt printer. I just want to share my experience and to learn from other printers. T-shirt printing in the Philippines is a good business because people like to wear graphic shirts. But printing resources are limited and rather expensive.
